Since April 2007 a number of Nigerians both within and outside the country have enjoyed on a weekly basis a refreshing update of news making headlines in Nigeria.

Known then as This Week In Nigeria (TWIN), many journalists found it interesting as it facilitates their work. Beside journalists, Nigerians especially those in the diaspora often look forward to having the news summary from home which they read from their mail boxes.

However, in February 2010, Streams Media; the organization that operates TWIN attempted to increase the reach of the news service, thus re-branded it and adopted the name “NEWSSCREEN NIGERIA”. In May 2010 however, still continuing with the aim of offering better service, NEWSSCREEN NIGERIA launched its first website for readers to enjoy a better service. There have been a number of responses from readers who visit www.newsscreennigeria.com on a weekly basis.

Today, NEWSSCREEN NIGERIA has gone beyond its weekly news service as it now operates yet a better website which offers more information about Nigeria and Nigerians as it promises to keep improving the brand, positioning to be a major player in the on-line journalism industry.
